Global campaign for Bovigen Scour, Virbac’s n. 1 vaccine key for the prevention of neonatal calf diarrhea in newborn calves (beed and dairy).

Protecting calves from the perils of NCD

Introducing Virbac, a French-based global pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and manufacturing a wide range of veterinary products for pets and livestock. Aficionados of animal wellness for nearly six decades, Virbac has since expanded its presence to over 100 countries worldwide and is a cornerstone of pet and livestock care throughout Europe.

Leading the charge against Neonatal Calf Diarrhea

Following a change in European regulations allowing direct promotion of vaccines to farmers, in 2022 Kongo Design worked with Virbac to launch an all-new European marketing campaign aimed at addressing the importance of vaccination for Neonatal Calf Diarrhea (NCD) and at promoting their number one vaccine: Bovigen Scour.  Tailored to veterinarians, but also for the first time to farmers themselves, Virbac is seizing the opportunity to educate and empower farmers about the importance of NCD vaccination and champion the benefits of the Bovigen Scour vaccine.

Bovigen Scour: a pillar of protection

Recognizing the gravity of NCD, Virbac Bovigen Scour stands out as a long-established vaccine designed to combat this condition and protect calves from its debilitating effects. Neonatal calf diarrhea can lead to dehydration, weight loss, and even death in severe cases, making vaccination essential for safeguarding calf health and welfare.

The Kongo campaign: cultivating a moo-ving market for NCD vaccination

The creative team at Kongo focused the campaign on two primary objectives: to increase the market size for NCD vaccination in general and then to elevate Bovigen Scour as the preferred choice for NCD vaccination among farmers. To achieve these goals, Kongo developed a comprehensive marketing strategy, including the creation of a new graphic style and identity aligned with the vaccine’s identity and Virbac’s brand. This cohesive visual identity is deployed across various campaign tools, including banners, brochures, educational articles for farmers, and 2D animations.
